Kìzis shares ‘In Our House’

Mích Cota/Kizis shares new single ‘In Our House’, her first new music since 2018's acclaimed ‘Kija/Care’. Rather than relying on a somber palate, ‘In Our House’ is carried along by an irresistible collage of glockenspiels, whirring keys, a four-to-the floor drumbeat and the unmistakable voice of Cota. It is a powerful merging of the cathartic and the playful, an invitation to experience Cota’s world for five minutes. 

Raised in Southern Ontario, Canada, within the confines of a strictly religious household, Cota found solace within music, creating new worlds to escape into. Even as her musical vocabulary expanded, the sole aim of Cota has remained the same: to use sound to convey the complexities of her existence and the multitude of worlds she inhabits. ‘In Our House’ is a stunning return and a beautiful introduction.
